An Experience You'll Remember

This year the Limmud Bay Area Experience will begin on Friday afternoon, continuing thru Shabbat, and end on Sunday. There will be stimulating sessions in any given hour—on topics ranging from Talmud to psychology, from film to Bible, from “Food, Wine and other Sensual Delights” to Peoplehood and geopolitics. Eat delicious food that's locally sourced and strictly kosher. Learn from renowned presenters, engage in discussion groups, express yourself in art, and make new friends.

The Limmud Experience starts on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 4 PM and goes till Sunday late afternoon. Unlike most conferences, all presentations are open to all participants and no signups are required.

About Limmud Bay Area

We are a conference, a festival, a gathering of Jews from all parts of the Bay, from all walks of life, all Jewish backgrounds, all lifestyles, and all ages. Limmud Bay Area is planned and produced by a network of “volunticipators”. To learn more about Limmud Bay Area, click here »

Limmud depends on the participation and volunteerism of all—what we call volunticipation! As a volunteer, you'll directly impact the success of Limmud Bay Area and the experience of all our participants. All levels of experience are welcome to join us in building this extraordinary event. Volunteer opportunities are flexible, and include opportunities to meet new people, contribute your skills and talents within your schedule. Create the Limmud experience you want to have.

Here are three reasons to support Limmud Bay Area with a donation:

#1 We're an All Volunteer-run Organization

Limmud Bay Area is an independent non-profit organization, completely volunteer-run. Limmud presenters are also volunteers who are paying to attend the conference. We rely on contributions from the community to help make our conferences possible.

#2 We Attract a Diverse Audience, All Are Welcome to Participate

In an atmosphere where everyone is a teacher and a learner, the entire conference benefits when every community demographic is represented. Your contribution would make it possible for educators, students, young families, singles, and others to participate in Limmud.

#3 Your donation supports those that can't afford the cost of registration

We use a “pay-what-you-can” model when it comes to registration. Some people can afford to pay more than others. Your donated funds help those who can only afford to pay part of the registration fee to participate, present and volunteer.
